Geometry- week 4 maths sample
During Maths week (week 4), we have been focussing on Geometry. We had a choice of 10 different Geometry based activities. We needed to select 5 different activities and provide evidence when completed.
The evidence I collected:
What I enjoyed about this maths week was:
I enjoyed the maths question's at the start of the day because I was working well with all of the other students to work out the questions. Also the different maths rotations was fun.
What I challenged during this week doing:
The angle worksheets were quite hard at some points but Mr Henderson helped us out on that and then we completed them.
My next step in Geometry is:
Angles. I am not that great at figuring out different angles. But I am working on this.

Weekly Reflection- Week 3/4
Something I enjoyed from week 3 and 4:
Throughout the last 2 weeks we had a few events on. One of these that I enjoyed was maths week. Some of the things that we did in maths week was class questions which we narrowly can third 1 point off getting 1st. Another thing that we did was we had a different maths programme with this we completed activities and we had to have 5 by the end of the week.
Something that challenged me during week 3 and 4:
Working well with my friends really distracted me because I got really distracted at times and this nearly lead to unfinished work. But in the end I was lucky and I caught up on everything.
A value I have been showing consistently and how:
Reflect. With this I have Reflected on my writing especially my 1960's writing. But also in Maths. With this I have been rewarded with a values and beliefs certificate.
A value that I think I need to improve on and how:
Responsibility. With this it is because I have not completed work to deadline. I will work on this next week.

Breakdown of Rainfall in Christchurch between 10-17 of June
But why would there be so much rainfall in the past week? Just think it is the middle of winter. My theory behind so much rain 65mm to be exact is because Christchurch in the winter is a very cold and miserable place to be, unlike other city's on the other side of the world. This is because we are so much further away from the equator than these other city's. Also when it rains in Christchurch it just keeps on raining and it feels like it never stops.

When I grow up I'm going to play for the All blacks

The book was about A small boy named Jack who had one dream which was to be in the all blacks. He absolutely loved them. He supported them 100%. One day he accidentally kicked the ball over the fence. His Dad then told him that he was going to be invited to a trial. In the trial he didn't go that great in the first half. Then his dad came and gave him his all blacks top. This is because he only plays well when he wears it. In the second half he scored 3 tries he played the greatest half ever. At the end when the team was being named he got named last but then he got named as caption. He came home and Said, When I grow up i'm going to play for the all blacks.

Weekly Reflection - Week 1/2
Week 1/2 - Reflection
Some work I am proud of…
I am proud of my writing about a suspect in mind for a crime in the wet room. The suspect that I think it could have been is Miss Bayliss. This is because she has bright red lip stick and there was a red lip stick stain on a cup. She also wears converse and there was a converse tread mark on the ground.
Something that has challenged me this week is…
I got challenged with my reading astle test. This was very challenging because I had to do a lot more reading than what I am used and I had to go back and re-read.
A school value that I have worked hard at achieving this week is…
I have done very good at respect as I have been respectful on the mat and in my groups. An example of this is on the mat when people around me are talking I would ask them respectfully.
A school value that I need to work on is…
I need to work hard on being brave because I am not really trying anything new. I will try to work on this in the next few weeks.
This fortnights Tōtara goal was Behaviour Matrix and I achieved/showed this by...
I showed this very well because I stayed in the green for most of the rime but sometimes I let it slip and went into the yellow.
What is my personal goal for next week?
Next week I would like to do the weekly goal really well?

Have you ever felt like giving on something that you thought would be easy. Well let me tell you it isn't a great feeling.
I started feeling like it was going to be a breeze. But then as I saw other people people going up it, I started feeling as small as a mouse. When I first got in the harness I felt like a hunchback. As I got connected to the steel bar, I knew I was going to be challenged. I sat back and relaxed until I got all the way to the top.
When I got to the top I had the butterflies. I took a second and waited until... I pulled the rope to make
me swing. "Whoosh" I went down the 17.5 meter swing. It was awesome, It felt great. Even though I dropped my gut, I enjoyed every bit of it.
When I got back on the ground it felt amazing. Especially when I got the harness off. I felt like I could do it all again.
My reflection and next step:
I like the way I used a variety of sentence types.
My next step is to use more descriptive language.
